Handmade Memories
Feb. 17, 2004
All across Prince Edward Island are fantastic creations from the many artisans who have been inspired by the natural beauty of the landscape. Island artists and craftspeople create hand-stitched quilts, pottery bowls, intricate woodworking and woven tapestries. In addition to the wide range of traditional craft products you may find some unusual products in the many shops scattered across the province. Look for handmade soaps, sandcrafts, folk furniture, hammocks, Mi'kmaq figurines or puppets.
Bring your group to visit a studio and observe the work in progress, browse for treasures in galleries and craft shops or try their hands with a hands-on Island craft experience. These handmade memories will bring a little of our Island home for your group.
