Toronto’s Underground City
Snowstorm? No problem — all you need is a light jacket and comfortable shoes. Toronto’s financial district is eminently walkable, even in wintery weather. Slough off your coat and take to the P.A.T.H., an underground city covering 11 kilometers (6 miles) of interconnecting paths under the streets, complete with 1200 retail stores and services. In fact, the retail space connected to P.A.T.H. rivals the West Edmonton Mall in size, and according to Guinness World Records, is the largest underground shopping complex. The P.A.T.H. can take your group all the way from the CN Tower to the Eaton Centre and connects directly with five major hotels in the downtown core.
