DAILY ITINERARY  MEALS
Day 1: Arrival in Sturbridge   D

This afternoon, arrive in Sturbridge which is part of the Pioneer Valley of Central Massachusetts.  Unpack and relax for a two night stay at the STURBRIDGE HOST HOTEL ON CEDAR LAKE.  Enjoy this "New England" hotel with its early American decor, comfortable rooms and the indoor pool in the Atrium Courtyard.  A WELCOME RECEPTION is planned upon arrival.   A hotel representative will review what is on the grounds of the property.

DINNER is included this evening.

Day 2: Butterflies, Candles and a Feast!   B, D

BREAKFAST is included at the hotel.

This morning you will depart and travel to South Deerfield (please note there is no local guide included).  Discover the world of YANKEE CANDLE!  This is alot more to enjoy than just the internationally famous candles - there are New England crafts, kitchen and home accessories, collectibles, toys and more in this unique complex.

Today you will also visit MAGIC WINGS CONSERVATORY & GARDENS.  Join a "flight attendant" and you will be treated to a wonderful experience.  Imagine being surrounded by a fluttering kaleidoscope of butterfies in the lush conservatory garden.  As you walk through there are over 300 native and tropical butterflies from North America.  Enjoy the true beauty of these magic wings!

Depart Magic Wings and travel back to the hotel for some free time to relax before departing for a special dinner experience.  This evening you'll arrive at the historic SALEM CROSS INN.  The restaurant is a National Historic Landmark dating back to 1705.

The FIREPLACE FEAST is a unique and festive experience that dates back to the 1700's.  Relax by the fire as dinner is prepared for you in colonial style.  See your Prime Rib roasted "to a turn" as it rotates over a crackling fire of wild cherry logs.  Beware of the brimming bowl of freshly whipped cream - the perfect compliment to a New England seasonal dessert!  This event has been featured on the Food Network's "The Best Of' and WCVB TV 5 Boston's "Chronicle" and chosen as the "Hidden Jewel" by the Phantom Gourment!  Take time to wander through the restaurant that features antiques from the towns that lost "the last chapter" of existence when the QUabbin Reservoir was built to supply water to metropolitan Boston.

Day 3: Old Sturbridge Village   B

This morning you'll arrive at OLD STURBRIDGE VILLAGE.  This is an authentic recreation of a rural 1830's New England Community.  Each historic building has been carefully restored and the costumed villagers go about daily life just as their ancestors did so long ago.

After lunch on own in Sturbridge, you'll journey towards home with pleasant memories of your New England vacation.
