108 Mile House
In the days of the gold rush, Mile Houses were set up on the Gold Rush Trail marking distances on the road from Lillooet, the official starting point of the first road to the Cariboo goldfields. It is for this reason you will encounter such communities as 100 Mile House and 108 Mile House, so named for their distance from Lillooet.
