Every August the Dragon Boat Festival takes place on the North Saskatchewan River at the Louise McKinney Riverfront Park. The race course is approximately 400 m long with races generally lasting between 2 to 3.5 intense minutes. The Festival is a three-day event that lasts from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.
