Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park

Rising 1392 metres above sea level, the Cypress Hills have the highest elevation in Saskatchewan. They are also the highest point of land between Labrador and the Rocky Mountains. This 18,400- hectare natural environment park is located 27km south of Maple Creek, and features forest and grasslands, outdoor recreations, visitor attractions, year-round accommodations, the Conglomerate Cliffs, Trans-Canada Trail and Fort Walsh. This is the first interprovincial park in Canada, formed with its counterpart in Alberta.

Fort Walsh National Historic Site
Located 55km southwest of Maple Creek, Fort Walsh is a former Northwest Mounted Police / RCMP post (circa 1878-83) and was later used to breed horses for the Musical Ride. View reconstructions of original 1875-83 building structures, take a guided tour, and enjoy the local history at this beautiful site.
