Ukrainian Welcome Statue & Tourist Information Centre
In this region evidence of Ukrainian culture is everywhere, and the most visible of this is the enormous Ukrainian welcome statue here in Canora. Standing at 7.6 metres, the statue of “Lesia” dressed in Ukrainian costume represents the traditional welcome. There’s a rest area with shelter and picnic tables, as well as a tourist booth with information, souvenirs, Ukrainian Easter eggs, and more. Guided bus tours require two weeks notice.
