Hinton Hoodoos
This natural attraction is located near Emerson Lake. Hoodoos are beautiful sandstone formations created by years of wind and water erosion, and jut out of the earth like lonely statues. Motorcoach travel should be done with caution, as the road to Emerson Lake is gravel. Trail maps available at the Hinton VIC.
The Beaver Boardwalk
A 1.5km long boardwalk that meanders through natural beaver habitat. The Boardwalk offers opportunities to see beavers hard at work as well as learn more about the particular ecosystem in which the boardwalk exists from the interpretive signage. Bird watching tours are occasionally offered by the local Whisky-jack club.
