L’Anse Amour
Point Amour Lighthouse Provincial Historic Site - The tallest lighthouse in Atlantic Canada was first illuminated in 1858. The attached dwelling is now an intrepretation centre dealing with the history of the Straits area as well as the lighthouse itself.
Maritime Archaic Burial Mound National Historic Site of Canada - A plaque site of National Historical Significance, this mound of rocks - the earliest known funeral monument in North America - marks the burial place of a Maritime Archaic Indian child who died about 7,500 years ago.
