Signal Hill National Historic Site of Canada - Marconi received the first trans-Atlantic wireless signal here in 1901. See cadets perform 19th century British military drills. Tour Cabot Tower, Queen’s Battery and the interpretation centre.

Government House - The official residence of the Lieutenant- Governor of Newfoundland & Labrador. Tours of the grounds are available daily.

Colonial Building Provincial Historic Site - Constructed of finely wrought white limestone imported from Cork, Ireland, this stately edifice served as home to the Government of Newfoundland from 1850 - 1960. Note: Visitors can tour the grounds, however the building is not open to the public.

Commissariat House Provincial Historic Site - Experience the simple elegance of the home and offices of the Assistant Commissary General. Constructed in 1818-20, this Georgian structure is restored, furnished and decorated to the 1830s.

Quidi Vidi Battery Provincial Historic Site - Explore this small coastal battery which has been reconstructed to the time when an American attack was possible during the war of 1812-14.

Memorial University Botanical Garden - Spectacular 110 acres of cultivated gardens, groomed trails and natural habitat with tea room on site for group tours.

Craft Council Shop, located at Devon House Craft Centre - Changing exhibits of contemporary and traditional fine craft. Gallery of the Newfoundland & Labrador Craft Assoc.

The Rooms - Newfoundland and Labrador's cultural tourism centre bringing together the Provincial Museum, Provincial Archives and Provincial Art Gallery in a multi-million dollar facility in the heart of old St. John's. Experience the 9,000 year history of the peoples of the North Atlantic, incredible collections of archival records, photographs and films, millions of artifacts and natural history specimens, superb collections of contemporary visual art and national and international travelling exhibitions.

Restored by the pharmacists of Newfoundland and Labrador, Apothecary Hall and the Peter O'Mara Drug Store were one of the last remaining old drug stores in Newfoundland and preserve the history of the profession in this province.

Newman Wine Vaults Provincial Historic Site - Located on Water Street in St. John’s, the vaults were constructed in the early part of the 19th century to age the world famous Newman’s Port. Interpretation will relate the colourful history of the liquor trade in Newfoundland.

Built into the 550-million year old rocks on Signal Hill, The Johnson GEO Centre features Newfoundland & Labrador as Earth’s Geological Showcase. The entrance structure housing GEO Gifts and admissions represents the tip of the iceberg, as over 85 percent of the building is underground. Descend in the glass elevators and view the planets of our Solar System, experience a multimedia show with driving rain and thundering volcanoes, and explore 3500 sq. m of interactive exhibits and 150 metres of nature rock wall.
