L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site
A UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Vikings established the first European settlement in North America over 1,000 years ago. Remains of the settlement have been unearthed and visitors can walk into reconstructed sod buildings to see how these Norse people lived. Animators on-site recreate the day-to-day life of the Vikings.
