Lincoln
Great Road Historic District
Driving along the three-mile Great Road Historic District means driving essentially through three centuries. The District is comprised of historic houses, farms and mills, including the 1687 Eleazer Arnold house, the oldest house in Lincoln and the finest example of a “stone-ender” in the state, the 1870/1895 Hannaway Blacksmith Shop, the 1704/1745 Friends Meeting House, and the Moffett Mill, one of the first machine shops in New England.
