Alstead
Upon founding in 1772, Alstead was part of New Hampshire, but ten years later switched its allegiance to Vermont. It switched back several months later, and remains to this day a New Hampshire town.

This large maple operation offers tours year-round, but spring is the optimal time for planning, as that’s the time of production. Visitors can purchase maple products and if visiting in March, groups are offered food while watching the boiling of the maple sap.
