Hudson Museum
Located in the Collins Center for the Arts at the University of Maine campus in Orono, the museum’s floor to ceiling casework showcases objects that could not be exhibited in the Museum’s old location. The Museum features over 9,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space with three galleries. The Merrit Gallery features Dressed for the Gods: Precolumbian Jewelry from the Hudson Museum’s Collections, the World Cultures Gallery focuses on universal cultural themes, and the Maine Indian Gallery showcases both traditional artforms and decorative traditions and an overview on the People of Maine.

Paul Bunyan Statue
An icon of American Folklore, Paul Bunyan was a character of great size and tremendous strength. Paul Bunyan stories first surfaced in 1910 and in them he is said to be responsible for many geographic features from the Grea Lakes to the Pacific Ocean. Bangor is home to the 35 foot tall statue of Paul Bunyan, located on the city's main street. The statue was donated to the city of Bangor in 1959, commemorating the 125th anniversary of Bangor's incorporation. Bunyan statnds to this day, looking over the city and smiling down on residents and visitors alike.
