The DesBrisay Museum features exhibits on the natural history, early settlement, and cultural and industrial growth of Lunenburg County from the early 17th century up to the present as well as temporary exhibits related the history and the arts. Researchers are welcome. Next to the museum is the Bridgewater Woodland Gardens with picnic areas and walking trails.

Bridgewater also has a championship 18-hole golf course called Osprey Golf Course. In nearby LaHave is Fort Point Museum founded in 1632 by Isaac de Razilly, known as the capital of Acadia until 1636.
