Halifax Citadel National Historic Site
One of the most visited National Historic Sites in Canada, the Halifax Citadel invites all to partake in the thrilling and colourful pageantry of period-costumed soldiers as they re-enact British military life in the 1800s. The meticulously restored fortress is alive with the stirring music of the bagpipes, soldiers performing musket drills on the parade grounds, and the thunderous boom each day of the noon cannon.
