Louisbourg

The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site is the largest historical reconstruction in North America. By far the most famous attraction along this trail, the Fortress is a reconstruction of an 18th-century French fortified town to its appearance in 1744.

Nearby, the town of Louisbourg offers much in the way of visitor services. Bring your group to visit the Louisbourg Marine Museum, a unique experience of 18th (Le Chameau), 19th and 20th century artifacts and ships relics from beneath the ocean.

Other points of interest on the Fleur-de-lis Trail include: Lenoir Forge in Arichat, St. Peters Canal and the Nicolas Denys Museum in St. Peters, and the communities of Louisdale and Isle Madame.
