The Cabot Trail
Known world-wide for its spectacular scenery, the Cabot Trail is circular and takes travellers along a rugged seacoast and through lofty mountains. Tourism facilities abound, as do nature trails and look-offs. The trail is particularly popular in the autumn, when the changing leaves turn the entire route a blazing mixture of red, yellow and orange. Approximately one-half of the Cabot Trail is located within Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and thus the Park Entry Permit is required to use any Park service or facility, including sightseeing on the Cabot Trail within the Park.
