Wanuskewin Heritage Park National Historic Site
A must see on your Saskatoon itinerary is this fascinating historic site constructed just 5km north of the city. The site was visited by generations of First Nations people, and represents more than 6,000 years of Northern Plains Indian culture. Jump right into the history through the museum exhibits and interactive displays, including building a tipi and visiting a buffalo jump. This is one stop your group is sure to remember, leaving a lasting impression with all who visit.

Berry Barn Eatery and Gift Shop
One of the city’s most popular and unique riverside eatery and gift shops is located on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, and surrounded by a 28 acre Saskatoon berry u-pick orchard. This tourist favorite features home-style cooked meals, Saskatoon berry pies and other mouth watering fare. The on-site gift shop has many wonderful souvenirs and Saskatchewan made products to take with you. Private functions are available at the Berry Patch.

Western Development Museum – 1910 Boomtown
The Saskatoon branch of the Western Development Museum preserves the history of Western Canada through 1910 Boomtown, the longest indoor museum street in Canada. This living history museum also features the new “Winning the Prairie Gamble” exhibit, the Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame, Boomtown Café, banquet facilities and an exquisite gift shop.

The Diefenbaker Canada Centre
Located on the campus of the University of Saskatchewan, this is a wonderful place to discover Canada, its roots, and its achievements. The Centre is a dynamic cultural, educational and historical attraction that combines a museum, archive, research centre and gift shop. Curriculumbased education programs for schools.

Meewasin Valley Centre & Gift Shop
When visiting Saskatoon, this is the place to start. Entertaining, informative, hands-on exhibits about Saskatoon’s history and the South Saskatchewan River. A souvenir from the gift shop will complete your visit. Special interpretive programs are offered Sunday at 2pm.

Saskatchewan Railway Museum
The history of rail in Saskatchewan is a long and interesting one, providing insight into the early days of settlement and industrialization. That history is brought to life here with displays covering six acres, including two diesel engines, two streetcars, restored railway buildings and other historic artifacts. Enjoy the interpretive centre, gift shop, available motor car rides also on site.

Ukrainian Museum of Canada
Established in 1936 in Saskatoon, the Ukrainian Museum of Canada is the first of its kind in the country, and serves as a center dedicated to the preservation of Ukrainian heritage in Canada. Displays on Ukrainian culture include decorative textiles, immigration history, Ukrainian Easter egg workshops, handcrafts and much more. The gift shop provides a wonderful opportunity to take home a Ukrainian egg, craft, cookbook or other special souvenir.

Persephone Theatre
Persephone Theatre at River Landing, establishes a true artistic presence in the heart of Saskatoon’s downtown: becoming a destination not only for theatre, but for all types of artistic pursuits. The Pomegranate Gallery in Persephone Theatre showcases the visual art of local artists. New exhibits are created for each show in Persephone’s mainstage season, with works relating to a theme from the play.
Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo
Always a favorite with groups, zoos are a fabulous addition to almost any itinerary and the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo is no exception! Housing over 350 animal and bird species native to North America this distinctly Saskatchewan experience will create lasting memories and inspire you to return to enjoy the scenic surroundings and the unique story of plants, animals and prairie history in one place.

Mendel Art Gallery & Civic Conservatory
This renowned art gallery on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River features a permanent art collection and changing exhibitions of international, national and regional artwork. Also on site are the beautiful Civic Conservatory, a tea lounge, and gift shop featuring crafts, books, art, pottery, and many other mementos.

Shearwater Boat Cruises
A wonderful way to see the city of Saskatoon is from the landmark South Saskatchewan River, and Shearwater Boat Cruises is just the thing to make that happen! The hour-long boat tours depart from the Mendel Dock on board the Saskatoon Princess. Highlights include a heated cabin, licensed bar and more.

“Meewasin” is the Cree word for beautiful, and the Meewasin Valley area of Saskatoon is just that. Dedicated to the protection of natural and cultural heritage resources of the South Saskatchewan River Valley in Saskatoon, the Meewasin Valley Authority conservation organization creates opportunities for the public to enjoy this beautiful and vibrant river valley. Visitors can enjoy many conservation areas and nature-focused venues including cranberry flats, historic buildings, and 40 kilometers of riverbank trails.
