Explore Manitoba Centre

Located in the heart of Winnipeg at The Forks (adjacent to the Johnston Terminal), the Explore Manitoba Centre is a permanent theme pavilion with over 8,000 square feet of incredible displays and exhibits that gives both visitors and residents alike a true sense of the diversity and grandeur of Manitoba. The Explore Manitoba Centre also serves as a full-service information centre, providing visitors with information on Manitoba and Winnipeg. The Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway starts at mile 0 located at the centre. Open daily 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Visitor Information Centres

There are a number of visitor information centres throughout Manitoba, offering tourism materials, washrooms and refreshments. Many centres are open year round, and are conveniently located on Manitoba’s major routes.

The Portage Tourist Bureau at Fort la Reine Museum is a full service facility that offers assistance to travelers in both English and French. Brochures are available on all the Western Canadian Provinces, plus Minnesota and North Dakota. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are available to assist with trip planning, routing, and general information on area attractions. Enquires may also be made via the internet or telephone.
