Grand River Country
The northern section of Grand River Country is famous for its rich Mennonite culture, farmers’ markets and Oktoberfest. Kitchener-Waterloo plays host each year to the largest Bavarian festival in North America. Also visit the spectacular Elora Gorge and “The Kissing Bridge” near Elmira - Ontario’s only remaining covered bridge. The Grand River - designated as a Canadian Heritage River, winds its way past rolling countryside, historic towns and villages, and spectacular farmland.
