Seacoast Region
The oldest and smallest region in New Hampshire is also one of the most diverse and interesting. The Seacoast Region is where New Hampshire began, with the first settlement at Dover formed in 1623 by Europeans. Today, the 18-mile long coastline calls to visitors with its thriving centers, colorful maritime history and exciting recreational venues. And its central location nestled between Maine and Massachusetts provides easy access to New Hampshire’s only seaside region.
