Dartmouth - Lake Sunapee Region
The great Connecticut River, winding from northern New Hampshire to the Long Island Sound, forms the region’s (and the state’s) western border with Vermont, and carves out the path the early settlers took when exploring the area. The region is named for its two most historic and notable landmarks, Dartmouth, the Ivy League College in Hanover, and the stunning lake and mountain that bear the name Sunapee.
