Western Region
A land with thousands of miles of coastline, endless forest & ancient mountains. Western Newfoundland incorporates the area from North Branch to Grand Bruit, known as the Southwest coast, as well as the Port au Port Peninsula to Ramea, known as the Festival Coast. Corner Brook lies at the heart of the Bay of Islands – Humber Valley Region which extends to Deer Lake. The area from Deer Lake to St. Anthony is known as the stunning Viking Trail. The Viking Trail boasts two UNESCO World Heritage Sites that highlight a geological history as old as the planet itself and a human history that goes back 10,000 years.
