The city of Montréal is one of the most vibrant and multi cultural in Canada, blending the old word with the new. The second largest French speaking city in the world (after Paris), the city is alive with exceptional restaurants, fashionable boutiques and a rousing nightlife.

There is never a shortage of things to do here; Montréal is home each year to a stream of festivals and events, ranging from the jazz and comedy festivals. For a taste of history visit Old Montréal. Here, modern museums are nestled amongst charming eighteenth and nineteenth century buildings, including the famous Notre- Dame Basilica. Take in a breathtaking view of the city from the top of Mont Royal, where the world’s second-largest Botanical Gardens and Olympic Park, built for the 1976 Summer Games, are found.

Laval is a green urban oasis, nestled between Montréal and the Laurentian Mountains. The city is known for fine dining, shopping and outstanding museums dedicated to green energy, the biosciences and the exploration of space.

The valley of Montérégie is rich in history, and is home to many period homes and historic sites. If you want to experience a gastronomic treat, a visit to the region’s agricultural centre is not to be missed. Gourmets will delight in the decadent chocolate and fresh, home-grown produce; many farms will invite you to pick your own. On the Countryman’s Tour (Circuit du Paysan), wind your way through the valley’s vineyards, farms and cider producers, and even learn the art of making ice cider.
