The Great Spirit Circle Trail encompasses eight First Nations in the Manitoulin Island Sagamok region in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. Home to the "Anishnawbek" – the Ojibwe, Odawa and Pottawatomi people with a long and storied history, rich culture and abundant lands. Visist our new Information Centre and Aboriginal Experiences Area, our outdoor area provides you with a walk through time... pathways that lead to various traditional dwellings where you can experience Teas of the Land, Taste traditional cuisine, and learn of the medicinal and ceremonial uses of local plants found in our traditional medicine gardens while visiting the traditional teaching lodge. Stop and sit to reflect at the central fire pit, shaped in the image of the turtle – ‘the anishnabek calendar’, and feel the peacefulness of nature.
